As one of Queensland’s earliest nature-based tourist destinations, the Sanctuary is a physical embodiment of everything the NTAQ represents: to conserve and advance our natural and cultural heritage for future generations.  As we continue to welcome visitors to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, we have an opportunity for a passionate and driven Koala Habitat & Animal Encounters Keeper to support the delivery of our guest’s animal visitor interactions with a variety of animal species and provide daily keeper duties to the animals within the Koala Habitat area.  About the Role As our confident Koala Habitat & Animal Encounters Keeper you will be part of our passionate Animal Encounters Team and work to deliver educational, engaging, and professional animal experiences to our visitors.  You will also carry out the daily feeding, husbandry, health and welfare keeper responsibilities of the koalas in our care at Koala Habitat.  About You To be successful in this role it is desirable to have previous zoo keeping or animal husbandry experience and be confident working with animals and be comfortable with public speaking to perform presentations to visitors, groups and media.
