Eligibility Criteria
To meet Government Funding Requirements, you must: 

  • Be a Queensland Resident currently living in the Gold Coast area
  • Be unemployed / irregular employment for the previous 6 months
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or temporary resident with visa to permanent residency.
  • Be aged 15 years + and no longer at school.
  • NOT previously have completed a Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW) program.
  • Be able to pass a National Police Check
  • Be motivated and ready to commit to full attendance of an 18-week course and traineeship completion that starts on 11th August 2025
