As one of Queensland’s earliest nature-based tourist destinations, the Sanctuary is a physical embodiment of everything the NTAQ represents: to conserve and advance our natural and cultural heritage for future generations.As we continue to welcome visitors to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, we have an opportunity for a driven and passionate Casual Guest Services Team Leader to join the team and deliver stand-out leadership skills and exceptional service to our guests.  About the RoleAs our Guest Services Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in making group visits run smoothly and keeping the park experience top-notch! Reporting to the Guest Services Manager, you'll help coordinate the daily flow of inbound and other group bookings—and support general park operations when needed.You'll be the go-to for all things group-related, including:Managing bookings for inbound and group tours (koala photos, encounters, meals & more)Assisting with the smooth coordination of groups on-siteHandling phone and email enquiries, plus any agent or guide complaintsCommunicating clearly with both internal teams and external partners About YouWe're looking for someone who's worked in a similar role, thrives in a team, and can take the lead when needed—but also knows when to follow direction. About the Role

  • Communicating clearly with both internal teams and external partners

 

About You

We're looking for someone who's worked in a similar role, thrives in a team, and can take the lead when needed—but also knows when to follow direction. You'll bring plenty of energy and enthusiasm, along with a good understanding of key inbound markets—especially Southeast Asian, including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Indian visitors.

Other key skills and attributes we are looking for include:

  • You will have at least 2 years’ experience working in a guest services role (within a similar field or industry preferred but not essential)
  • Another language (Mandarin preferred but not essential)
  • Strong level of organisational and time management skills essential
  • Effective verbal and electronic communication skills are essential as well as the confidence and ability to deliver the best outcomes
  • A professional standard of personal presentation is essential
  • High level computer ability with Microsoft Office suite and POS/Reservations systems 
  • Must be comfortable working in an environment that includes mammals, birds and reptiles & be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
