Our retail team takes pride in their work, the presentation of their shop floors and in their excellent sales results, come and join our friendly team! Details about this Position: As a Retail Assistant, you will be required to contribute to delivering an amazing guest experience and achieve daily sales targets through excellent product knowledge. You will be required to start promptly to work shifts over the September school holidays. Key responsibilities:Actively engage with Guests in a friendly and helpful manner to maximising sales opportunities whilst ensuring high levels of Guest satisfactionPerform cash handling and point-of-sale processes efficiently with accurate cash control skillsMaintain outstanding outlet presentation &visual merchandising standardsAn understanding of stock efficiencies & how to minimise shrinkageParticipation and commitment to achieving departmental objectivesWillingness to assist other departments including our Photography department as requiredBe a proven energetic & positive Team player.Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary operates 4 busy Retail outlets across the site & also operate vending outposts during peak trade. You may be required to work in any of these locations throughout any day.This are Casual roles with workdays ranging from Monday to Sunday on a rotating roster as required by business needs.Full availability over School Holiday periods is essential.Pay and work conditions are under the Amusements, Events & Recreation Award 2020.The successful applicant may be required to provide a satisfactory police check clearance.Non-smokers are preferred. Selection Criteria: High level of customer service ability is essential, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced Retail organisation.Previous experience working with daily sales targets.You must have excellent communication skills & are comfortable communicating with both local and international Guests, assisting them with their needs.Have a high standard of personal presentation & physically fit. Able to lift & move items up to 10kg & can walk long distances indoors & outdoors, in all weather conditions.Can demonstrate a flexible, cooperative, ‘can-do’ attitude. A friendly, motivated & calm manner is essential, with the ability to handle Guest requestsCan demonstrate an awareness & commitment to controlling shrinkage, stock control & accuracy in stock audit methods.Able to work efficiently with strong time management skills.You work well unsupervised and can demonstrate using your initiative.You must be comfortable to work in an environment surrounded by Aussie wildlife, including birds, reptiles & snakes.  AUD Currumbin 4223
