As one of Queensland’s earliest nature-based tourist destinations, the Sanctuary is a physical embodiment of everything the NTAQ represents: to conserve and advance our natural and cultural heritage for future generations.  As we focus on delivering our organisation strategy, we have an opportunity for a motivated and connected Public Relations Executive to join our team and enhance the public image and reputation of NTAQ brands and properties including Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, this role is responsible for creating and implementing strategic campaigns to garner positive media coverage, increase brand visibility, and to enhance our positive public perception.   About the Role As our experienced Public Relations Executive, you will formulate broad publicity strategies aligned with the commercial and charitable objectives of NTAQ.  As a confident and engaging communicator, you will cultivate and maintain strong relationships with members of the media, including journalists, editors, bloggers, and influencers and pitch story ideas, press releases, and other relevant content to secure media coverage across various platforms and industries.  As an individual with strong interpersonal skills, you will build strong relationships with key spokespeople across the organisation, acting as a liaison for all media engagements including preparation of interview briefs and responses. You will support onsite and offsite media calls, product launches, promotional events, and other media opportunities. To support the direction of this role, you will complete proactive media monitoring, and track and analyse the ROI on campaigns and media coverage and use this data to inform your future strategy.  As our well-connected PR Executive, you will create compelling content, press releases, media briefs, and any other promotional materials to support our brand story and you will also work to Identify opportunities for brand partnerships, and collaborations to enhance visibility and credibility.  As an individual with excellent organisation skills, you will leverage these skills to assist and support media logistics and event planning for PR campaigns and work closely with the wider sales and marketing teams to deliver on our team objectives.  About You To be successful in this role, you will have relevant experience in a similar role and possess exceptional communication skills, strong media relations, and a deep understanding of various publicity channels and media outlets, on a national scale.   Other key skills we are looking for include:  Proven experience in creating and implementing PR strategies and campaigns Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and crafting persuasive messaging and storytelling Strong interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to build and maintain relationships Ability to effectively pitch stories to media outlets and influencers Familiarity with various media channels and platforms Strong organisational and multitasking skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously Analytical skills to measure the effectiveness of PR efforts and adjust strategies accordingly Ability to work independently and flexibility to work onsite to be available to other business units. Tourism or Not For Profit experience an advantage Be prepared to work in an outdoor environment that has native wildlife such as birds and reptiles.  What we can offer  Just as our charter is to protect, conserve, and celebrate the Environmental, Built and Cultural heritage of our State - we are also committed to ensuring our Team Members are protected, taken care of, and of course celebrated!  We offer current and future team members:  Flexible work practices. Free on-site parking. Tertiary education partners for access to recognised qualifications. NTAQ Team Member Card offering unlimited entry to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and other SEQ sites and generous team discounts. Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary family & friends passes. Regular team events and team reward and recognition programs.  AUD Currumbin 4223
