As one of Queensland’s earliest nature-based tourist destinations, the Sanctuary is a physical embodiment of everything the NTAQ represents: to conserve and advance our natural and cultural heritage for future generations. We currently have an opportunity for an experienced and motivated Casual Park Cleaner to support the wider team and keep the grounds of the Sanctuary clean, tidy, and welcoming for all our guests.  In this hands-on and busy role, you will ensure the Sanctuary is clean, hazard and litter free and provide a friendly welcome to our visitors. About the RoleIn our Park Cleaner role, you will be responsible for cleaning public and internal areas, including onsite litter bins and toilet facilities when required. You will also provide friendly customer service and helpful information about Sanctuary facilities to our guests.Rostered hours may vary between 5:30am – 10:00pm and weekend work will be required, so you will ideally have good availability across at least 5 days.  Safe use of equipment and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is also an essential part of this role. About YouYou will ideally have experience in a similar role and can work productively and cooperatively within a small team, with the ability to follow direction without supervision and demonstrate initiative to complete tasks.Other key skills and attributes we are looking for include:Physical fitness to perform all elements of a cleaning role including walking long distances, emptying bins and working outdoors in all weather conditions.Ability to adhere to WHS guidelines/policies and practices.
