Wolston Farmhouse located in the fields of Wacol, is one of Brisbane’s oldest surviving residential farmhouses, built in 1853. It is a popular tourist site and school excursion destination. Wolston Farmhouse is part of the National Trust of Australia Queensland (NTAQ), being 1 of 12 listed heritage sites throughout Queensland. We are currently seeking an experienced hospitality all-rounder to assist every Sunday with the Wolston Farmhouse "Tea Terrace" service.  Mid April we are planning to commence service also on Saturdays, so this role will require you to work both days of the weekend! Details about this Position: The successful applicant will be an experienced Hospitality professional who will be able to professionally deliver the Tea Terrace service. You will be part of a friendly team, working with one other staff member and assisted by volunteers and students.You will be someone that is fun & friendly, committed to delivering efficient and welcoming customer service.This position will involve:Preparing and serving a basic café-style menu such as farmhouse scones.Tea terrace set up and opening/closing duties.Cleaning duties including dish room duties associated with the Tea Terrace.Maintaining standards of food safety and COVID-Safe guidelines using safe work practices.Barista skills and a current RSA are not essential but would be considered an advantage.You will be supported in this role by the Site Coordinator but will cover leave as may be required.This role will involve working Sunday from approx. 9-3 pm and Saturdays from approx. 11-3pm. Future extra shifts at events may be required subject to business growth.Pay and work conditions are under the Amusements, Events & Recreation Award 2020 at Grade 2 = $26.03 per hour, plus extra 50% loading for each Sunday shift.Non-smokers preferred. Selection Criteria:A minimum of one-year experience in Fast Food counter service, café or restaurant establishment is required.Friendly personal interaction skills required to deliver excellent customer service and work harmoniously and productively with the staff and volunteer teams.A current QLD Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Competency Card/Certificate is desirable.Must be self-directed with excellent time management and ability to work calmly under pressure.Must be available on both weekend days.      How to ApplyIf you are interested please apply online.  AUD Wacol 4076
