As one of Queensland’s earliest nature-based tourist destinations, the Sanctuary is a physical embodiment of everything the NTAQ represents: to conserve and advance our natural and cultural heritage for future generations. As our organisation anticipates the delivery of our exciting new Events Venue – The Homestead, we have an opportunity for an experienced Events Supervisor to oversee the delivery of exceptional events across The Homestead and other key event spaces.  Reporting to the Venue Manager, this role is responsible for supervising events, and leading the team in providing exceptional food and beverage service, to position The Homestead as a leading, bespoke dining and Events Venue on the Gold Coast. About the RoleAs an experienced events professional, you will host events and be the operational point of contact for our event organisers and event guests, working to ensure a high level of service standards, food quality and delivering a vibrant and engaging guest experience. In this hands-on role, you will support the team, assisting with core service duties such as food and beverage service, set-up and pack down for Events, operational event planning to ensure seamless timings and motivate the team to ensure we deliver professional, efficient and memorable guest service.  You will work collaboratively with our Events and Food & Beverage Leadership Teams, to ensure a high standard of food (and beverage) presentation, consistent delivery of exceptional events and to support the Venue Manager on building a great team culture.  As our highly organised Events Supervisor, you will support the planning, recruitment and training to prepare Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary to enter the bespoke dining and Events market and deliver a memorable dining and events experience. About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have previous experience as an Events Supervisor in high-quality venue, and proven experience supervising events teams to deliver a high level of food and beverage service.  Other key skills that would make you a valuable candidate include: Passion for service excellence and providing superior hospitality and superior food and beverage knowledge.Experience supervising, Corporate and Social Events, and Weddings.Demonstrated experience implementing operating policies and procedures and delivering practical and hands-on training.Manage service quality, ensuring high standards are consistently met and ability to coach team members.Ability to work rotating roster including weekends, public holidays, opening and closing shifts. What we can offerJust as our charter is to protect, conserve, and celebrate the Environmental, Built and Cultural heritage of our State and we also are committed to ensuring our Team Members are protected, taken care of, and of course celebrated!  We offer current and future team members: Bench-marked SalaryFree On-Site ParkingTertiary Education Partners for access to recognized QualificationsFlexible Working ArrangementsRegular Team Events NTAQ Team Member Card offering unlimited entry to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and other SEQ sites and generous retail & food & beverage discountsCurrumbin Wildlife Sanctuary Family & Friends Passes AUD Currumbin 4223
