The historic landmark, previously known as Wolston House, is situated in a rural setting dating back to 1852 â located a short drive Southwest of Brisbane’s CBD. Wolston Farmhouse was the first property to be taken care of by the National Trust of Australia (Queensland) & is The Centre of Excellence for School Excursion Programs, and a physical embodiment of everything the NTAQ represents: conserve and advance our natural and cultural heritage for future generations.
As we continue to expand our Education offering, we are seeking a motivated and passionate Education Officer to support and deliver a variety of programs.
About the Role
As our highly organised Education Officer, you will play a crucial role in orchestrating informative and enjoyable activities, crafting memorable experiences for students and teachers alike. Serving as a collaborative team member, you will mentor and empower volunteers to provide a knowledgeable and enriching experience, ensuring a educational, fun and safe experience throughout.
You will deliver educational programs and host school site visits. As a highly autonomous individual, and confident public speaker, you will actively engage with Education groups in a friendly and helpful manner. The days and hours of work will vary from week to week depending upon excursion bookings. Availability from Monday to Friday is preferred. Occasional weekend work may be offered.
