If you think you encompass our company values of Welcoming, Efficient, Safe and Fun, please read on!About the RoleAs our Commis Chef you will assist with a variety of tasks ranging from food preparation and cooking a la carte, event menus and group catering preparation for functions and events.You will ensure food products are stored, prepared, and served safely in accordance with restaurant and government food safety. There will also be occasional evening shifts for functions and events as required.About YouYou will ideally have 2 years’ experience working in a commercial kitchen with great attention to detail and a friendly, positive attitude.Other key skills and attributes we are looking for include:Ideally 1 to 2-year experience with food preparation in a fast-paced hospitality environment and genuine commitment to food safety.Cert 4 in Commercial Cookery will be highly regarded.Availability to work later nights for functions/events bookings, as well as weekend shifts and School Holiday periods.Self-directed with excellent time management and the ability to work calmly under pressure.Hardworking and cooperative with a ‘can-do’ attitudeWhat we can offerJust as our charter is to protect, conserve, and celebrate the Environmental, Built and Cultural heritage of our State – we also are committed to ensuring our Team Members are protected, taken care of and of course celebrated!
