Come and join the cleaning team at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary (CWS), an iconic and awarding winning tourism attraction that showcases conservation and our native wildlife.We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, capable, and reliable person to fill the role of Cleaning Supervisor. This will be predominantly a hands-on operational role with time allocated for administrative duties.  In addition, this leadership role will require you to coordinate and support the cleaning team, manage cleaning supplies, conduct audits and organise team rosters. If you have a positive and friendly approach to your work, eye for detail, outstanding guest service and experience managing a happy team then please apply! Details about this Position: This role will be responsible for the physical cleaning of the Sanctuary’s facilities, amenities, public areas plus internal offices, kitchenettes, lunchrooms and other areas as identified, including some affiliated properties.A key part of this role is to have a genuine customer service focus to provide friendly helpful information about the Sanctuary facilities and attractions to our valued guests.The main element of this role will be to provide operational leadership of the cleaning team which will include day to day management of a small team, allocation of tasks spanning across cleaning, groundskeeping and park services areas, rostering as required, team performance and teamwork quality inspections.As Cleaning Supervisor, you will be responsible for ordering supplies, stock control, audits, equipment management and maintenance and supplier liaison.This role will require having a flexible and helpful outlook to assist with projects and other department needs as required.This role will require extensive walking, bending, lifting, and carrying, in an outdoor environment, in all weathers.The roster will include weekday and weekend shifts, as well as occasional evening shifts. Safe use of equipment and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is an essential part of this role.  Selection Criteria:At least two years of relevant experience with supervising a commercial cleaning team is essential.Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures and usage of cleaning machinery.Previous experience with working productively within a small team, must be a cooperative team player with a friendly and positive approach.Can demonstrate a flexible, cooperative, ‘can do’ attitude. A friendly, motivated and calm manner is essentialMeticulous approach to sustainability initiatives with regards to cleaning and waste management.Has physical fitness to work outdoors in all weathers, walk long distances, carry a backpack of 15kg for prolonged periods, empty bins, with chemicals and capably perform all elements of a cleaning role.Ability to adhere to W.H.S guidelines/policies and practices. Experience in working safely with commercial chemicals is essential.Has acceptable level of personal presentation and communication to be able to interact in a friendly, professional and courteous manner with Park visitors, staff and volunteers.Must hold current Driver’s licence.
