CHEF DE PARTIE – Full time role.Immediate start preferred                 This role is based at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary (CWS) located on the Southern end of Gold Coast. We are the largest attraction within the National Trust of Australia (Queensland) portfolio and feature a vibrant and varied collection of Australian Wildlife and exotic animals located one block back from beautiful Currumbin beach. If this sounds like you, please read on.We are seeking a motivated Chef de Partie to join our small and friendly kitchen team working within an amazing and unique work location surrounded by Aussie Wildlife. The Sanctuary contains a hosts a suite of F&B outlets; The Sanctuary Café, Wild Burgers, Kangaroo Outpost and mobile vending, plus the Sawrey Function Room. In addition, we have a number of amazing outdoor event locations within the Sanctuary grounds to host functions and special events.  Details about this Position: This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced kitchen with a dual focus on day trade - short order cooking, bulk production, general food preparation as well as events preparation, cooking and execution. You will prepare and deliver various styles of cuisine for our suite of F&B outlets, seasonal updates, featured specials and short order cooking for family friendly café menu.This is a full time salaried position working 40 hours per week.The successful applicant will be confident in their skills and motivated to perform the following duties:Perform quality food preparation in a fast-paced hospitality environment.Use kitchen equipment as per required procedures.Be trained across all outlets and perform additional duties such as cleaning where required.Hold knowledge of food safety responsibilities.Contribute to menu design ideas and understanding new trends.Hours of work will vary between 7 am to 4 pm, with occasional night function work as required.Non-smokers are preferred.You will need to be double vaccinated for COVID-19 by 17th December 2021 to meet Qld Government Public Health Order Directive. Selection Criteria:Minimum 3 years’ previous experience, industry qualifications are highly regarded.Must have experience working within relevant F&B establishments i.e. busy hotel or club kitchen, large café/ bistro, tourism facility, multiple food service outlets etc.Must have a friendly, flexible and positive ‘can-do’ attitude - we genuinely value a friendly team culture.Must have a genuine commitment to Food Safety, hygiene standards and Workplace health and safety.You will have a genuine commitment to minimising wastage.Must be self-directed with excellent time management skills and ability to work calmly under pressure.Able to show initiative and demonstrate a flexible approach to work is essential.This role will require ability to lift up to 15 kg, standing for long periods, working in a hot environment and require bending and twisting.Must be able to comply with the QLD government vaccine mandate for our workplace. How to ApplyYour application should include your resume plus a brief cover letter stating how you meet the Selection Criteria. Applications will only be accepted via the online application form on our website: http://www.cws.org.au/employment AUD Currumbin 4223
