About National Trust of Australia (Queensland)National Trust of Australia (Queensland) [NTAQ]) is membership-based, environmental charity which offers people the opportunity to feel connected to significant places, collections, and stories.  NTAQ manages a diverse portfolio of heritage properties which includes one of the Gold Coast’s most popular tourist destinations, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. As our organisation works to deliver new vibrant guest experiences, we are excited to announce a new enchanted night walk attraction that will feature stunning light displays, sculptures, and projections, offering visitors a magical journey after dark. To support this new attraction, we are seeking a highly skilled AV Technician (Technical Operator) to join our team and play a pivotal role in operating and maintaining our new night walk attraction and support our install of technical aspects in pre-opening phase, through to its successful operation. About the RoleAs our experienced and highly skilled AV Technician, you will play a crucial role in both the pre-opening and operational phases of our exciting new attraction. During the pre-opening phase, you’ll be instrumental in supporting the cabling and installation of the night walk attraction. Once the installation is complete, you will transition into an operations role, overseeing the management and upkeep of the attraction to ensure all zones run smoothly for each daily operation (includes nights and weekends).Your technical expertise will extend across the Sanctuary, where you’ll handle a variety of AV systems, assisting with installations, maintenance, and upgrades. This contribution will be vital not only to the attraction but also to the success of various events at our newly built venue, The Homestead, where you’ll support conferences, gala dinners, and special functions. In this diverse role, you’ll have opportunities to showcase your skills in programming, tuning PA systems, and utilising control systems and automation to help create an immersive experience for our guests.Your ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently will be essential in minimising disruptions and keeping operations on track. Additionally, you’ll maintain detailed records of installations, services, and equipment, while helping to develop a comprehensive maintenance schedule and asset registry. This work will ensure all AV systems are operating efficiently and effectively, enhancing the guest experience and contributing to the attraction's success.As a key point of contact, you will build strong internal and external relationships, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment and play an integral role, as you bring this new attraction to life and help create unforgettable experiences for our guests. About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have proved experience in AV installation and operations and knowledge of control systems and automation is highly desired.
