National Trust of Australia Queensland (NTAQ) is a membership-based community organisation and registered charity that works to protect, conserve and celebrate the Environmental, Built and Cultural heritage of our State, affiliated with the Australian and international National Trusts. The NTAQ collection includes Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and eleven other properties across Queensland, including the signature Brisbane property Wolston Farmhouse at Wacol.  Please refer to our website for more details: https://www.nationaltrustqld.org.au/.     Position details & dutiesReporting directly to the CEO of NTAQ, this role holds dual responsibilities: The key responsibility of this role is to directly facilitate company profitability, achieved by sound business development (BDM) activities. This will entail being a professional and effective ambassador for NTAQ. Duties will include forming and maintaining effective partnerships within the SEQ region at both corporate and community level to drive growth in individual memberships and growth in corporate partnerships and sponsorships.Other responsibilities will include providing regular communication and direct support to the NTAQ within the SEQ region. This portfolio consists of both physical heritage properties and Branch Committees. The objective is to ensure their operations are maximised in terms of achieving company values, objectives and targets. Line management of Wolston Farmhouse is an element of this role.This role requires that you will be professional at all times, knowledgeable of company objectives and hold ability to facilitate continuous improvement for the business in terms of brand, reputation and stakeholder engagement. You will be a capable, experienced and effective sales and relationship manager and a clear communicator.You will enjoy the challenges of managing a diverse and multi-faceted portfolio. You will appreciate your individual work efforts will be a major contributor to growing the brand and success of NTAQ in SEQ in order to deliver upon its important strategic objectives.This is a full time salaried position based in Brisbane throughout south east Queensland will be required.Hours of work: 5 days per week, typically Monday to Friday but occasionally ranging over a 7 day period. Flexible availability to attend occasional evening Branch Committee meetings and other events as required.Package benefits include salary of $70- 80K plus commission plus super, phone and laptop provided, plus National Trust membership offering free entry to 800 properties worldwide including Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.Interviews will be held on 28th January in Brisbane.  Non-smokers preferred. Selection Criteria:Must have:Experienced Sales Manager with a minimum of 3 years previous experience working within a customer service based industry. This role requires commercial operations aptitude. Experience working within an organisation that is membership based would be considered an advantage.Can demonstrate appropriate sales and business development skills in order to source, promote and convert corporate partnership opportunities.Can implement processes and training to activate effective NTAQ membership sales within all SEQ Heritage Teams.High level skills required in the areas of work organization, communication, leadership and financial reporting.Must be a highly capable user of Microsoft Word and Excel – can prepare and present reports, audits and incident reportsWill have an interest in Queensland history and be prepared to act as an NTAQ ambassador.Ability to successfully manage, motivate and direct small localized teams is essential.
