Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary (CWS) is located on the Southern end of Gold Coast. We are the largest attraction within the National Trust of Australia (Queensland) portfolio and feature a vibrant and varied collection of Australian Wildlife and Non-Native Exotics located one block back from beautiful Currumbin beach. Our conservation and sustainability focus are a key part of who we are.  Our Food & Beverage Team is currently seeking a fast, friendly and fun new starter with Hospitality Industry experience to join our team. This role will hold responsibility for delivering an amazing guest experience in an energetic, courteous and professional manner. Role duties:As a Food & Beverage Attendant you will working in a fast paced environment and delivering an amazing guest experience. Your duties will include: providing counter service, making coffees, preparing and serving alcoholic beverages, basic food preparation duties.The role will include cleaning duties such as table clearing, ensuring counter areas are well presented and refreshed & assisting with dish room duties as required.You will ensure that all food products are handled, stored, prepared and served safely in accordance with restaurant and government Food Safety and COVID-Safe plan guidelines.You will also assist with the set up, delivery and pack down of park events.You must be a friendly & cooperative person: being reliable and a ‘can-do’ attitude is a key part of the job Details about this Position: This position will work across all food & beverage outlets including: Sanctuary Cafe, Wild Burgers, Kangaroo Outpost and vending.You will be working outdoors in all weather across a variety of locations to deliver events as well as our Friday night Sanctuary Markets with bar operating from 4pm until 9pm.This is a casual position and shifts will range from Monday to Sunday on a 7 day rotating roster. Hours could range from 10 to 25 hours up to 38 during peak holiday period.The food & Beverage team operate from 6:30am up until 6pm. Shifts will be within this range and there will be later nights required for functions and events. You must be comfortable working in an outdoor environment that includes birds and reptiles.Pay and work conditions are under the Amusements, Events & Recreation Award 2020.Non-smokers are preferred as we are a smoke free workplace. Start date as soon as possible. Selection Criteria:Minimum of 12 months previous food & beverage experience ideally within a Fast Food, cafe or restaurant establishment.Barista experience is essential.Previous bar tender experience is desirable.A current Qld Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Competency Card/Certificate is essential or willingness to obtain.     Must be a hard worker and show initiative to complete job tasks independently without supervision and ability to work calmly under pressure. Demonstrated high standard of personal presentation and communication.Flexible approach to work.Full availability over NSW and QLD school holiday periods is required.  How to ApplyIf you are interested, please apply online.
