As one of Queensland’s earliest nature-based tourist destinations, the Sanctuary is a physical embodiment of everything the NTAQ represents: to protect, conserve, and celebrate the Environmental, Built and Cultural heritage of our State.As we continue to welcome visitors to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, we have an opportunity for a passionate and experienced Part Time Wildlife Officer Reptiles to support our Wildlife Reptile team. This is a unique opportunity for a passionate and experienced Wildlife Officer to join the Wildlife team for an immediate start. About the RoleReporting to the Reptile Supervisor we are seeking a professional applicant who has previous experience working with a variety of reptiles.  Duties such as, but not limited to; animal husbandry, animal health, record keeping, keeper presentations and enclosure maintenance.  This role may include opportunities for involvement in the conservation program for the critically endangered Kroombit Tinkerfrog as well as associated field work. About YouThe successful applicant must hold Certificate III in Wildlife and Exhibited Animal Care. The department is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic professional with a high level of general wildlife knowledge and customer service skills.
